Reiki Session Information

Thank you for taking time to learn more about my Reiki healing sessions.

During a reiki session, I utilize multi-modality keys to assist in maximizing focus for channeling Reiki energy to your pet.  This includes a distraction-free environment and and incorporating the senses through meditation music (sound), diffusing essential oils (smell) and gemstones (vision and touch).

If you have sent a picture of your pet,   I will also have that within my healing circle space.   In addition, the description you share about what you would like me to focus on helps further target their session.

Because Reiki is energy based,  it is just as transformative and powerful when done at a distance as if we were together in person.   In fact, most of my Reiki session are done as distance healing sessions.

It also allows Reiki healing sessions to be done for pets who have passed on from this physical world.   Remember always that their soul energy remains connected to us forever.

Like us, our animal’s issues are created over time, so can take time to improve. Also like us, as we work negativity out of our systems (whether it be physical or emotional) we may sometimes experience a healing crisis. This is when we can temporarily feel a bit worse as it works its way up from deep seated issue, to the surface, and then out of us.   Most will not experience this, but if you do notice it, it should resolve quickly.

Continue to maintain a nurturing environment for your pet as they process their Reiki energy.   Quiet surroundings along with your soothing voice and touch can help them continue to process these energy shifts. You can also provide them soothing music and/or dog appeasing pheromone (DAP) (or feliway for cats) during times you are away (see recommended products on the site).

Everyone is different in the number of healing sessions they would benefit from.   It’s a bit like going for a theraputic massage or talk therapy.    Some will feel better after one time, while others need multiple times before they notice shifts.   My recommendation is to use your own instincts.

How mild or significant is the issue they have been dealing with?   Was it only recently noticed or is it something that has been building for some time?   How relaxing versus over-stimulating is the environment they are usually in?   Now watch them over the next 1-2 days.   Did you notice any changes in them yet since their first session?   Sometimes changes are overt but sometimes they can be subtle.   Put together all of this context to help tune in to your intuition as to whether this one session is enough, or if you would like to schedule more.     If you would like additional sessions, come back to the HandtoPaw.com website (HandtoPaw.com) and I can set that up for you.

As a general rule of thumb, most issues will benefit from anywhere between 1 to 6 sessions. For example, if a pet just needs a little boost, 1 session may be enough.     Some may benefit from 2 sessions, scheduled a week apart – the first to begin moving the energy and the next to intensify it and further it’s smooth flow throughout their system.   Some more significant and/or chronic issues may benefit from a program of 6 sessions –            3 times the first week, 2 times the second week, and once during the third week.    There is no right or wrong answer, so use your own intuition as to what is best for you.

Feel free to come back to the HandtoPaw website (HandtoPaw.com) as often as you’d like to read about different areas of holistic healing and use it as your guide.   The best holistic wellness incorporates a multi-modality approach where each level builds upon the next.   This complimentary and synergistic approach will help maximize quality of life for both of you.
Thank You and
Blessed Be You & Your Pet,
